Greetings all!

The DC Football 2009 pool is now open for registration!
The Draft is scheduled online for THURSDAY, AUGUST 27th at 10PM EASTERN (later than last year to accomodate west coasters).
Make SURE you can ATTEND the draft if you're going to sign up!

There are 16 spots available, though returning managers who were ACTIVE and REGULAR participants last year will have a chance to sign up first.
The rules and positions have changed slightly to accomodate more potential players.

If you are listed below, email me before 11:59pm, July 17th to indicate your interest in returning or your spot will be opened to the next interested party.

If you are interested in joining this year, email Apocalypse with your interest but ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
a) You know NFL football.
b) You understand the concept of Fantasy Football.
c) You are prepared to regularly maintain your team throughout the season regardless of your record.

First come, first served and remember, every win no matter where you are in the standings earns you prizes!

IMPORTANT: when you contact me to return and/or join the league, indicate which email address I should send the league invitation to as this will be your league email throughout the season.

NCAA Basketball Pool Winners Announced!

1st Place: Me - 3k plats and 2 gameload of choice and 1 brownie (bwahaha -- stuff put on Auda, sure to get lots of use there :P)

2nd Place: Sammit - 2k plats and 1 gameload of choice and 1 brownie

3rd Place: Cereal - 2k plats and 2 brownies

Last Place: Garon - a cloverleaf token & a tube of vaginal ointment

Most Correct Picks: Elric - 1k plats and 3 cloverleafs.

Everyone who entered a pick set also receives 10mil gold for playing.
The 3 people who joined but didn't submit picks get jack squat.

The participation prizes are on your characters in gold coins (if you placed, you don't also get the 500 plats).

The New World of Dark Castle!

As per the news in game, there has been a massive overhaul and update to the realms of Dark Castle.

The world is now divided into a series of continents that include the following:
* Main Continent (Sorpigal)
(to be named later via player vote)
* The Diamond Isle (New Thalos)
* Kyu Shi'i Kaze (Far Reach)
* Occoran
* The Underdark

- As noted above, three of these continents have a hometown with safe rooms, guilds, and a consignment house.
- Due to the ongoing changes from these powerful magics, the continents have not yet settled and can thus be traversed freely, both by magical and non-magical means. This may not always be the case in the future.
- In addition, numerous BRAND NEW areas have been installed.

A tremendous debt of thanks is owed to Sergio for coordinating this massive remapping of the world and writing the new areas.

Special thanks as well to Petra for the new Na'lleadra (Drow) and Underdark edits.

Details are as follows:

RELOCATION AND REMAPPING

Existing areas relocated to The Diamond Isle:
- the Seaport of Sanderling
- the Crystal Keep and Dungeons
- the Kingdom of Thelia
- the Ruined Kingdom of Damar
- zykeia
- Everwinter
- the Sun's Anvil Desert and adjoining areas
(New Thalos, Rainbow's Edge, Phryaz, Vhryllian Cleft, etc.)

Existing areas relocated to Kyu Shi'i Kaze
- the Shaolin Monastery
- the Templar Catacombs

Existing areas that have moved within the Main Continent:
- the Tower of High Sorcery
- the trail to Mintia
- the Castle of Light and The Castle of Dark
- St. Colin's Monastery
- the Valley of the Hill Giants and adjoining areas
(Harpies, the City of the Cloud Giants, Circle of Five)

Existing areas relocated to Occoran:
- The Qritcil Clutch
- Kryzhtyn's Rock and the Blight

Existing areas relocated to The Underdark
- Meresis Lake
- the Troglodyte Caverns
- Shyntoa's Diary of the Daine

NEW AREAS

Areas for Everybody:

- the Guilds of Far Reach

New Transition Areas (Veteran Level) in Kyu Shi'i Kaze:
